About Me
I offer a warm, compassionate and genuine service where your wellbeing is always important to me.
I am an experienced fully qualified BACP registered counsellor/psychotherapist and an approved BUPA Mental Health Therapist. http://finder.bupa.co.uk/go/mrs_christine_shah. I hold a DBS Enhanced Certificate. My approach is based person centered / integrative and is personalised to your needs. Working with the person as a whole (Body, Mind, Spirit), I use Mindfulness, CBT techniques, Third Wave Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused techniques. I offer you skills you can use in your daily life, to improve the quality of your life. I also use relaxation, mindfulness meditation and tapping techniques if this is appropriate.
My approach allows you to move at your own pace and direct your own development which will encourage you to believe in your strengths, values and self-worth. I aim to help you, understand and then accept and release feelings in order to relieve and/or resolve your issues and develop a stronger relationship with yourself, in order to defeat low self esteem and/or low confidence.
As a Registered Member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists my work is safe and confidential and within BACP’s Ethical Framework of good practice. You can look this up on: www.bacp.co.uk. I have extensive experience and successful outcomes while I continuously develop in my profession. I also speak German and occasionally will visit clients at home, hospitals or care homes in and around London and if appropriate.
